Command Icons make up the lower half of each vehicle's Status display. The list below shows all of the Command Icons, their functions, which units have each command, and where the icon is located in the Command Icon grid.

Move. Changes the cursor to the Move cursor. The unit will move, if possible, to the location you click in the Detail Pane. This is the default command for all units, so you will probably use this only to reset the cursor if you have clicked another icon, then changed your mind. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the target location.

Stop. Orders the vehicle to stop moving. It may take a moment for the vehicle to come to a stop.

Set Route. Changes the cursor to the Dock cursor. Defines a cargo route for a Cargo Truck between a mine and a smelter. You must first set a path from the Cargo Truck's current location to a mine's loading dock. Then set the path from the mine to the loading dock of an appropriate smelter, and another path back to the mine's dock. Any of these paths may include waypoints

Patrol. Changes the cursor to the Move cursor. Defines a patrol route for a combat vehicle. First set the path from the vehicle's current location to the starting point of the patrol, then set the path to the ending point of the patrol. The unit will take the shortest route from the ending point back to the starting point, and will continue the patrol until given new orders or destroyed. You may include waypoints in the patrol route.

Repair. Changes the cursor to the Repair cursor. Orders the vehicle to move to the vehicle or structure you click on and begin repairs. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the repair location.
Available for: ConVecs, Spiders, and Repair Vehicles Command Icon Grid: Top right

Bulldoze. Changes the cursor to the Bulldoze cursor. Orders the vehicle to bulldoze an area. Click to set a corner, then drag the cursor to define the area to be bulldozed.
Available for: Robo-Dozers Command Icon Grid: Top right

Build Structure. Changes the cursor to the Build cursor. Move the cursor to the location at which you wish to deploy your structure. If there are no red squares in the structure outline, click to order the ConVec to drive to that location and deploy the structure kit. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the build location.
Available for: ConVecs loaded with a structure kit Command Icon Grid: Middle left

Build Mine. Changes the cursor to the Build cursor. Move the cursor over a surveyed Mining Beacon and click to order the Robo-Miner to drive to that location and build a mine. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the build location.
Available for: Robo-Miners Command Icon Grid: Top right

Build Magma Well. Changes the cursor to the Build cursor. Move the cursor over a magma vent. If there are no red squares in the structure outline, click to order the Robo-Miner to drive to that location and build a Magma Well. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the build location.
Available for: Eden Robo-Miners, if appropriate research has been completed Command Icon Grid: Top right

Build Geothermal Plant. Changes the cursor to the Build cursor. Move the cursor over a fumarole. If there are no red squares in the structure outline, click to order the GeoCon to drive to that location and build a Geothermal Plant. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the build location.
Available for: GeoCons Command Icon Grid: Top right

Build Tube. Changes the cursor to the Build cursor. Move the cursor over the desired Tube location, then press and hold the left mouse button. A yellow or red square will appear under the cursor. Red indicates that a Tube cannot be built in this location. Release the mouse button to build in that location (if possible) or drag the cursor to build a line of up to eight Tubes. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the build location.

Build Concrete Wall. Changes the cursor to the Build cursor. Move the cursor over the desired Concrete Wall location. A yellow or red square will appear under the cursor. Red indicates that a Concrete Wall cannot be built in this location. Release the mouse button to build in that location (if possible) or drag the cursor to build a line of up to eight sections of Concrete Wall. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the build location.

Build Lava Wall. Changes the cursor to the Build cursor. Move the cursor over the desired Lava Wall location. A yellow or red square will appear under the cursor. Red indicates that a Lava Wall cannot be built in this location. Release the mouse button to build in that location (if possible) or drag the cursor to build a line of up to eight sections of Lava Wall. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the build location. (NOTE: Lava Walls are not available to Eden in Campaign Games.)

Build Microbe Wall. Changes the cursor to the Build cursor. Move the cursor over the desired Microbe Wall location. A yellow or red square will appear under the cursor. Red indicates that a Microbe Wall cannot be built in this location. Release the mouse button to build in that location (if possible) or drag the cursor to build a line of up to eight sections of Microbe Wall. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the build location. (NOTE: Microbe Walls are available to Eden only in Campaign Games.)

Attack. Changes the cursor to the Attack cursor. Move the cursor to the desired target (which may be vehicle, structure, or empty terrain). Click to order the vehicle to move into range of the target and begin attacking. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the target. (NOTE: The cursor automatically changes to the Attack cursor if you move it over an enemy unit or structure when a combat unit is selected. Click the Attack icon on the unit's Status display if you want to force an attack on a friendly unit or structure, or on empty terrain.)

Dump Cargo. Orders the vehicle to dump any cargo it is carrying. The cargo is irretrievably lost. A confirmation display will appear in the Command Pane when you click this - the cargo will be dumped only if you click the YES button. Clicking NO, de-selecting the unit, or clicking one of the report buttons will abort dumping the cargo.
Available for: loaded Cargo Trucks and ConVecs Command Icon Grid: Middle right

Reprogram. Changes the cursor to the Reprogram cursor. Move the cursor to the desired target (which must be Disabled by EMP). Click on the target vehicle to order the Spider to move adjacent to the target and reprogram it. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the target. (NOTE: The cursor will automatically change to the Reprogram cursor if you have a Spider selected and you move the cursor over an EMP-Disabled enemy vehicle.)

Demolish Structure. Changes the cursor to the Demolish cursor. Move the cursor to the structure to be demolished. Click to order the unit to move to the target and begin demolition. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the target.
Available for: ConVecs Command Icon Grid: Center

Demolish Tube or Wall. Changes the cursor to the Demolish cursor. Move the cursor to the Tube or wall to be demolished. Click to order the unit to move to the target and begin demolition. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the target.
Available for: Earthworkers Command Icon Grid: Middle right

Guard. Changes the cursor to the Guard cursor. Move the cursor to the vehicle or structure you want to guard. Click the item to be guarded. The unit will move to the item and begin guarding. If the item to be guarded is a vehicle, the guarding unit will follow the guarded unit whenever it moves. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the target.

Salvage Rubble. Changes the cursor to the Salvage cursor. Orders the Cargo Truck to salvage all rubble within an area. Click to set a corner of the area to be salvaged, then drag the cursor to define the area to be salvaged. Then click the loading dock of the GORF to which the Rubble is to be taken.
Available for: Cargo Trucks, if the colony has an Active GORF structure Command Icon Grid: Middle left

Stand Ground. Changes the cursor to the Stand Ground cursor. Orders the vehicle to move to a location then stop and stay there until given new orders. Click on the location to be defended. You may include waypoints to set a movement path to the target location.
Available for: Lynx, Panthers, Tigers, and Scorpions Command Icon Grid: Middle right

Scatter. Orders a group of vehicles to move a short distance away from the center of the group. This command is used to disperse a group of units so as to avoid or minimize an area effect weapon.
Available for: All units, if multiple vehicles are selected Command Icon Grid: Bottom left

Transfer. Changes the ownership of the selected vehicle. The Command Pane will change to show you buttons for each of the other players in the game; click one of these buttons to immediately transfer ownership of the vehicle. Clicking CANCEL, de-selecting the unit, or clicking one of the report buttons will abort the transfer. (NOTE: Any loaded Cargo Truck or ConVec takes its cargo with it when it is transferred.)
Available for: All units, if there is an Active Trade Center structure (multiplayer games only) Command Icon Grid: Bottom center

Self-Destruct. Orders the vehicle to immediately self-destruct. (NOTE: There is no confirmation required for this - as soon as you click this icon, your units will blow up. Use this button with caution.)
